Job Description:
Trade Responsibilities:
Assist in coordinating local import and export processes, including customs clearance, to ensure that the project runs smoothly.
Support the team in monitoring changes to global trade policies, tariffs, and regulations.
Assist with trade agreement compliance, including tariff classification and origin determination.
Help maintain accurate records of trade transactions and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
Regulatory Responsibilities:
Support regulatory compliance efforts by researching and interpreting relevant laws and regulations.
Assist in preparing regulatory filings, reports, and documentation as required for projects.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Assist in monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their impact on business operations.
Responsible for reaching out to a third-party consultant for product compliance and obtaining a quotation and lead time on approval.
Attend project meetings and provide updates and any issues that need resolving.
Maintain and update regulatory files and databases, including reports, licenses, permits and certificates, for internal record-keeping.
Report the compliance progress to the manager accordingly.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in any fields or equivalent education/experience.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in trade operations, regulatory affairs, or related fields is preferred in similar industries.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Good command in English.
