Bangkok – April 22, 2025 – MR. D.I.Y. Thailand has sparked a wave of creativity with its first Contemporary Art Competition 2025, inviting artists, students, and the general public to submit their artwork under the theme “Identity and Diversity.” With total prizes worth 1,010,000 THB, the competition received an overwhelming response, with over 1,000 applicants from across the country. Submissions were accepted from February 11 to March 31, 2025.

This initiative reflects MR. D.I.Y.’s belief in the power of creative expression rooted in personal stories and life experiences through art that reflects identity, social perspectives, and cultural diversity, with aims to offer fresh perspectives on everyday life and inspire audiences across the nation.

The competition is part of artistic and creative initiatives under the concept “Made the Day at MR. D.I.Y.” These include painting contests for children and youth, art competitions, and creative workshops held at the MR. D.I.Y. Store Seacon Square throughout 2025. All activities aim to support diverse talent by offering inclusive platforms where artists, students, and the public can shine.

As part of the competition process, submissions for the MR. D.I.Y. Contemporary Art Competition 2025 is open until May 1, 2025. The final results will be announced on June 27, 2025, with 18 national award-winning artworks to be exhibited at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).
