Bangkok - 6 August 2025 – MR. D.I.Y. invites art enthusiasts to explore perspectives on individuality, community, and cultural diversity through the “Identity and Diversity” Exhibition, which features works from the winners and finalists of the 2025 MR. D.I.Y. Art Competition and runs from 5 to 17 August 2025. Winning artworks are displayed at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), while finalist pieces are exhibited at MunMun Gallery Srinakarin.

Through this exhibition, visitors can explore the richness of Thai society, where people grow up in environments shaped by diverse cultural roots, and life experiences, and origins. These elements influence how individuals perceive the world and gradually form their unique personal identities. Each piece in “Identity and Diversity” reflects the artist’s perspective, drawing from a wide range of inspirations.

The artworks tell stories of people from all walks of life, captured on canvas through techniques ranging from oil and acrylic painting to printmaking and mixed media. They serve as windows into everyday lives and communities often overlooked in daily life – including the daily lives of Muslim communities in Bangkok, the coastal rhythms of villagers by the Andaman Sea, the traditions of the Karen ethnic group, the dignity of farmers, children living with vitiligo, the resilience of girls from working-class backgrounds, experiences of oppression, and cultural and social perspectives in today’s Thailand.

All featured artists, whether students or public participants, were selected and awarded by a distinguished panel of judges as part of the MR. D.I.Y. Art Competition 2025, with official results announced on 20 June 2025. This inaugural competition marked MR. D.I.Y.’s first major initiative in the arts, attracting over 1,000 entries from across Thailand and awarding more than THB 1,010,000 in total prizes. The winning artists will also have the chance to represent Thailand at the regional-level competition in Malaysia, organized by MR. D.I.Y. GROUP (M) BERHAD.

The public is warmly invited to explore both exhibitions and experience the power of art to reflect on both the inner self and the world around us. Let this celebration of identity and diversity spark new ideas, inspire dialogue, and elevate the voices of Thai artists. From now - 17 August 2025, featuring 18 award-winning artworks displayed on the 5th-floor atrium of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), with the 34 finalist pieces being showcased at MunMun Gallery, 3rd Floor, Seacon Square Srinakarin.
